Nail Polish Strips

First encounter with Nail Polish Strips

So I recently discovered nail polish strips. I was at a flea market about seven months ago and found ColorStreet Nail strips. I instantly thought these are awesome! I decided to give them a try. I bought a set of three and booked a party. When you buy a set of three you get one free and because I booked a party the stylist ave me a free set. So, I ended up with five packs of nails. The stylist demonstrated application on my daughter and her friend. Look easy enough.

First Application and Impression

My daughter, one of her friends and I were so excited to try our nail strips out when we got home. I let the girls pick out the nail strips that they wanted to used and told them they had to agree on a color because I didn’t want to use more than one pack.

We sat outside on the patio and I applied nail strips to Ella, Emily and myself. All from a single pack. See picture below.

The nail strips work beautifully. They were easy to apply. When I applied the nail strips to the girls they immediately starting running around playing outside, and I didn’t have to worry at all. Their nails were instantly dry. No smudges, no messes, I didn’t need to constantly remind them to sit still and let their nails dry and I did not waste my time on something that didn’t last.

Alternative Brands

Since then I have tried numerous nail strips.

Let’s talk alternatives:
Dashing Diva:

I purchased at Ulta $7. My opinion: They are really thick strips, causing them to snag on things and lift away from the nail. Does have the largest selection from the other bands listed but does not compare to Color Street! These nails lasted me four days

L.A. Colors Nail Wraps:

Purchased at Dollar General $5.50. My opinion: Limited shades, only two to chose from. Very thick and hard to remove excess strips to fit my nail shape. These seemed to peel away from the tips of my nails and did not last a day. They drove me crazy.

Kiss Stick-On:

Purchased at Rite Aid $6. My Opinion: I could not be these to adhere. I ever tried to apply clear polish over the wrap. The wrap did not lat smooth on my nails, it kind of ripples across it. This was just a fail.

Unknown Amazon:

The last picture from above I do not recall the brand but purchased the strips on amazon for $3.99 a set. I bought several sets of these and wish I would not have. The ones with designs lifted of my nails easily and I actually had to cut with scissors to remove excess. I could not get the strip to adhere when I attempted to file away the excess. They company also had a glitter set. This one applied very nicely. I was so excited. It applied just like the color street nail did. I thought we have a winner and at a fraction of the cost. WOOHOO!! Unfortunately, they did not seem to dry, the strip constantly shrunk below my nail line. I could press on the strip and expand it back into place. Only for it to shrink again. These ones where also sticky the entire time I had them on they were tacky.

Below is the best alternative I have found to color street.

These are at Walmart you get 16 strips and they are double sided just like the color street nails. They apply easily, adhere to my nails and are easy to shape and remove the excess. They cost $6.99 in comparison to Color Street which range from $11-$14. They are superior to the nail strips listed above. Now let’s compare them to Color Street:

INCOCO
